Back in Hawaii

We were sure welcomed back to island!!...NOT! we came home to car troubles. We got to our friends house who picked us up, and our car wouldnt start. Not even for a second. We thought first it was the battery so we replaced that, then Huston and a friend tried to take our starter out to see if they could replace it. They worked on the car for like 6 hours and couldnt get to ONE yep, just ONE bolt to take out the starter without taking everything else in our car out. By this time it was almost 10 at night and we still were not yet home in our beds. Keep in mind we had just gotten off a 6 hr flight with NO sleep the night before. ... are we happy to be back????? ha! .. Anyways, our KIND KIND KIND neighbors( The Erb's) had flown in at around 8 ish and were not yet home, they were closer to town side when we called thankfully, so they willingly picked us up from our friends house and took us home. Its really hard to ask for help when you need it, but they made it easy and seem like it was no trouble thankfully. We are grateful for them for doing that. Anywayss... long story short, the next day we were able to tow it, get it fixed and pick it up. Lucky for us for not having classes the first day back.

Anyways, now that the car is fixed we are back to normal. In school, working, and just playing when we can. I finally am not working sunday's anymore, but i do work full time. School is going to be a busy semester for us both, but we will make it. I am not as sad as i thought i would be coming back actually. I really miss home still, but i feel revived, and like our 2 week vacation was PERFECT. Hopefully that revival feeling doesnt wear off. I need at least a couple months homesick free. haha. Maybe year 2 away from home wont be as hard as year one. ... lucky for us we might have a promising year as far as visitors go!! Hopefully we can convince everyone to get thier rears out here to see us!!

Conclusion of this post: After a very busy 2 weeks, and even busier first 2 days back on the island, we are settled in and doing FINE!! Miss you all!

Home for the Holidays

Here is a slideshow of our adventures at home.

We really enjoyed ourselves. We spent pretty much the whole trip with family. we saw few friends, and wish we could of seen everyone but in only two short weeks it was near impossible. The highlights of our trip was going to new mexico, durango, lakeside, going through the temple with james, Danny's homecoming, lots of movies, shopping, lots and lots of FAMILY time which was amazing, late nights, good food(eating out, and home cooked)...the weather, the familiarity of the place, the jumping in the pool at midnight on new years, and just most of all being HOME. I kept telling Huston i was never going to come back with him. haha. But im here, and its not so bad. It feels normal. Going home was the perfect break! Christmas and new years were spent with family and we couldnt have asked for a more perfect time. Thanks mom's(Candi and Nylene) and Dad(Kevin) for EVERYTHING you did for us, and for making it possible to come home! It was PERFECT, and we miss it already!

Anniversary -1 year

Unfortunately i had no camera on the celebration: it was broken. but thanks to Santa we now have a camera. But there are a few of our wedding pictures!

Its been 1 whole year! Can you believe it? Where does time even go!? December 19th, 2010 was our 1 year anniversary. They say the first year is the hardest, if thats the case i think we have a pretty good handle on this whole being married stuff. I mean you live with your best friend, and its the best. .. dont get me wrong, there were hard, sad, times.. like moving far away from both of our families, and me being a freak while on birth control, and me getting used to sharing my husband with the ocean(that one took some time;))...but all in all it has made us come so close together. Together we have learned so much. We have learned how to truly rely on each other ONLY, how to manage our finances, that the little spiritual things are the most important..when we dont have that, we have a hard time. We have learned to understand each other better, to become more selfless in helping each other. We have learned how to FULLY put our faith in Heavenly Father sometimes, because we finally are understanding that our plan is sometimes different from his. ...and i could go on forever on what we have learned in this first year of marraige, but here is to the second!!! May it be the best, and may we still continue learning and loving each other the best we know how to! I could not imagine my life with anyone else. simply said.

**THE CELEBRATION** included spending the night at the Sheraton Waikiki and eating fast food and ice cream..instead of a nice dinner..because we spent more than we wanted to on our hotel room.Which, if you know us...that was perfectly ok with us! We enjoyed it no matter what! Plus, We really enjoyed the HUGE room, and the pool/hot tub. What a year it has been!! We cant wait for many more, and to see what our future has in store for us!

Pandora

Pandora is the new best "girl" of a friend i ever had. She has never let me down and her singing christmas music to me every day is a plus. She probably feels like thats all she does and gets pretty tired, but i wanted her to know i appreciate her. she has saved me these last couple weeks from feeling homesick. she has made our home here feel more like christmas. and she even sings for me weeeee into the hours of the night( NOW) when i am finishing up a research paper, or even when i am at the library studying with my earphones in. so thank you my good friend Pandora for being there for me, and for getting me through these last two weeks. I love you. but i dont love you more than Huston. ok? Goodnight

FINAALLLLSSS SUCKkkkk

it has been A LONG week. i dont know why i am complaining.. most of my finals were comprehensive and or open note considering i have done really well! .. My prediction for grades this semester is fairly well for being my first semester back in school for almost 2 years. but anyways.. i have mostly just had LOADS to do. and so has Huston. Pretty stressful for both of us. probably the most "intensive" semester we both have had. but i think it has been good for us to really rely on each other for help, or even just appreciate the small things like today we had some down time, and we went out for lunch and then to the beach to tan and it was so nice to relax but as soon as we were done we had to crack down..and i have grown to appreciate Huston so much because i called for another break after spending a good 3 hours in the library...and Huston showed up at the library with ice cream for me and we just sat and chit chatted outside the library eating ice cream looking like lobsters from todays previous tanning sesh..anywayss. .. i just need to go home....only a few more days. but we are both done with school for at least 2 weeks tomorrow! horray. ;) love home, love breaks, love husband, love family etc! cant wait!
