a little update....

-Usually the whole weekend is our playtime..but two weekends ago.. Huston had a project so we just spent friday with some friends who went surfing and body boarding. Our friend Brandon has a fixed lens for his camera, ITS HUGE...so he took some fun pictures of Huston for us out on the waves..Also he let me try it out..it was so cool to work with such a nice camera, really does make a difference! We also enjoyed some nice shaved ice! We love trying all the flavors. Its going to be weird going back home to Bahama Bucks..the shaved ice here rocks! That night was date night, and we went with a few friends to the Aloha stadium where they were playing a free Drive in movie. We had a little picnic and cuddled it was a fun date! ..later that night we waited in line in Waikiki to get into a CLUB...My first ever experience.. i was so excited..however they didnt let us in because the guys were all wearing sandals! ....DUMB... But all together it was a fun date night! Poor Huston had to go to work as soon as we got home though!

-Then that saturday Huston worked on his FILM project all day. I went to town with my friend Sherry. i was her model for this color class she had to do for work. She did an awesome job on my hair, its blonde with some low lights! It had been sometime since i had gotten it done so it was needed, and she also chopped the ends off for me because she is awesome and i had terrible ends and was in need of a trim! Thanks Sherry! :) i really appreciate it!

-last monday we enjoyed the best FHE with our friends KC and Sherry! They invited us to the beach to grill hot dogs and just have a chill evening. It was such a beautiful night! We all played in the water a little while, and then KC grilled up some awesome Hot dogs and Zuccini! It was so awesome!:) Heaven in our stomachs. Huston also thought it was funny to play with this mongoose...he kept coming out and taking things from the trash. Huston would put his trash back in the trash..and it would make the thing angry to have to go back to the can and get it. It was pretty funny! We also saw a few whales jumping out at sea because the ocean was so calm...and we played some sweet frisbee! Thanks KC and Sherry, it was an enjoyable evening!
-Last wednesday was our first Surfing session/lesson. Our friend Brandon took us surfing at castles where there are just really small waves. It was such a blast! I have never tried before and neither had Huston. Huston was pretty much a natural...me on the other hand...haha... i got up once!!and that was a big deal for me! but.. it was such a blast trying it out!Huston is a really great teacher. He was very patient with me..especially when i would snap at him for pushing me right into a wave when i "was not ready" ;-) or when i would fall off..i would kind of blame him alot of the time. lol..but it all worked out! We really would love to go a few more times.

dream bedroom.

yep.. im obsessed with the colors. i know..haha but doesnt this just look so SHARP??? i love love love it!! .. ps. Huston like it too!

We aspire to have...

-this one looks dang Fiesty and i want it!
-seriously how can you turn down a face like that??

-He is so rolly Polly! i love it!

now do you understand why we want them so bad??

-this is what made us decide we want two to grow up together!

So Huston and i decided before we got married the kind of dog we want is an English Bulldog. We cant have a puppy while we are here.. but we decided we wanted one as soon as we can have one. Its hard because i want my children to grow up with a puppy so the dogs can grow up with the kids..and the kids can appreciate the family pets, however i also want a puppy just for Huston and I to raise by ourselves like our own Child. :) So who knows which one will come first... Anyways... last night we were looking at pictures of bulldog puppies and it made me want one even more. I cant wait. It was so fun to talk about it with Huston. We decided for sure that we want 2 of them as puppies to grow up together! Someday..we will have these little angels.

Mario Jeannettie...

See how lit up my face is?
-this is just HER!!

- I LOVE THIS PICTURE! that was the look always on her face!(what the hell are you up to now??)

-our good times! my grandma always made me laugh

I guess maybe i should make my own personal blog for times like these that have nothing to do with OUR life..but just my thoughts... but i just havent been able to get this wonderful women out of my head lately! My grandmother Jeannette Clearene Frost Gillespie could light up my whole world within seconds. She was the funniest craziest lady i know! I had a really great relationship with her the last few months of her life..I never really realized how much she has given me. I have this huge great heritage because of her with over 4 generations and i grew up with tons of first and second cousins. I often find myself never throwing ANYTHING away because of her...heaven forbid you waste anything. Huston always eats our leftovers because of this..haha! I could go on forever with everything she has given me..oh ya i forgot to mention she also gave me my wonderful mother and 8 other crazy aunts and uncles!haha..I just miss her i guess. ALOT. I always think about her, and how i loved visiting her, and how she always made me laugh. She always relied on me, and you could tell her face lit up when i came into the room too, because no longer was my mom or dad going to boss her around if i was in town! I was kind of like her security guard! She always told my mom not to mess with her, and that i wouldnt let her! Which is true, i always gave my grandmother what she wanted! She lived a long good life, why not continue to do so. I loved how she always told people she wasnt CRAZY or OLD, she could do things her self. Such a lady of independence and strong self worth! See where im getting!? ...Oh Jean.. i hope u would be proud of me and the choices i make, because i would never want to disappoint my grandmother. I felt so close to you, and there was never a time i didnt love to visit with you! I love you! .. I just had to tell you that you were on my mind!

Hawaiian Love...

-at the dole plantation(March 2007)
-I just wanted to share this picture with everyone. Its silly...but three years ago this last week(spring break) Huston and i were both here in Hawaii on vacation. He was with his family and i was with my Volleyball team for a tournament. Oddly enough we saw each other three times that same week! it was crazy! .. We look so young! haha...and its fun to look back on how far we have come. who would have ever thought my high school boyfriend would become my husband someday...?? ok ok..it crossed my mind before! haha.. but still! and that we would EVER end up in Hawaii!? we always used to joke about our honeymoon being here...and now we LIVE here! cool huh? my father always used to tell me i could never move here because i would fall in love with an islander and they would take me away and i would never see them again...however... I ended up with Huston, and he still brought me here! .. Funny thought! Anyways... Love being in Love :)

April 14th...

i dont think i have announced to the blog world yet that we have gotten into married HOUSING!.. at first we didnt....and then somehow.(through prayer, and god's hand) we did get in! and then at first we were told we had a studio...and Now again...a huge blessing we found out we got a ONE bedroom! We are so excited. A. rent will be cheap! B. We will have a real kitchen/one with and oven. and C. Kilie can hang things on the wall! and D. we wont have to hear an elephant stampede every night upstairs. so on April 14th, we will be moving onto campus. and into a new ward(sad about that)...but happy to finally be settled and start meeting people. Living off campus doesnt really give you much of that experience..meeting people that is! HOOORRAAAYY for affordable rent!

The five Languages of Love

My aunt sent us this book for our wedding present..i started reading it today. I really really LOVE it. It will be used as such a tool in our marriage! I highly recommend this book for anyone! Even if your just curious... read it. You will learn so much about how to get along with that future someone! It shares great concepts and really teaches people...as i was reading this book i felt really selfish..but it made me understand more about Huston's love language and mine too..and how we can both keep each others Love tanks full. it really is a neat book. READ IT!!!! You will learn alot about yourself!

What a studly Man.

I am putting these pictures on here because i know how much Huston would want them on here..and then maybe i could get him to show a little interest in our blog that he was so eager to starting before we were married lol. anyways.. my man loves boogie boarding on huge waves and our good friend brandon has an amazing camera and he took some great shots of him out there for us! :)u cant tell in the pictures but these waves were a good 8-12ft faces! they turned out AWESOME!!!! and i just think Huston is sooo HOTT!!!!so here u go...:)

Snorkeling at Turtle Bay

So after a fairly long day...the hike, and jumping...we decided to just spend the rest of the evening on the beach at turtle bay resort, where you can relax and swim..and its a great snorkeling spot too.. As soon as we got in the water this HUGE turtle swam right up to us. It made our day, i had been wanting to see a turtle. Our friend Olivia had two friends in town from Arizona and it was so great for them to get to experience that too. All together we had a beautiful day!:) Love friends, love adventures, love each other, and love Hawaii!:)

jumping off "the point" in Laie

After the hike we went to cool off by jumping into the ocean off of the point in Laie! I dont like cliff jumping at all, but Huston sure does, and everyone had a blast doing it:) and i got to take videos and pictures...still fun might i add. im just a big chicken. not sure why i didnt do it..but something told this time.. NO WAY! ps. Brandon's camera is AMAZING!
-the point again
-us girls deciding if we want to jump too.. three successful. one NOt. Me! yep..i dont like these kinds of adventures! haha

..Crouching Lion...

-one of the views
another gorgeous view

a coconut growing a palm tree out of it. cool huh?

another view..we loved the views! could of stayed all day!

crazy boys! cool pic!

Crouching Lion Hike was the hardest but most beautiful thing we have ever done! The real hike is supposed to take ALL day. but we just went to the top of the highest point and came back down instead of going to the other side and back around. It was sooo high up, and literally like you climbed a mountain straight up. Very steep. and then down was a little easier because there was a different trail. but it was so pretty! here are some of the pictures! the scenery was amazing! and the hike was fun. in a hard kind of way. but totally worth it! it was so beautiful!:)

the hike ended on the side of the road.

my goofy husband

Huston cracking open the cool fruit we found on a tree and picked. it looks like a pineapple, but those grow on the ground. we dont know..it was just fun climbing the tree to get it.

the boys...and the fruit they picked.

the boys being actual FRUITs. with thier crouching lion poses!

our crouching lion poses!

the whole group at the top!

That point behind us..is where we hiked!

half lovers half nature!

I need a job.

ok..so that cartoon doesnt really apply to me..but i did think they were kind of funny! ... I need a job! :) It is next to impossible to finding a good job here. Simply said.. i need a job with benefits!(being a nanny doesnt have that or security) preferably working full time. ...im keeping an open mind and continuing to look.

Someday...

See how dang cute!?? every time i see these girls..they are always soo cute! and then Paige sent me the Flowers pic, and i understood why! :)
Someday when my currently non-existant girl child comes into this world she will hopefully have something like this!....i dont really enjoy making them...cuz they never look as cute as when i see them. ...My husband said that this was ok... when we have MONEY someday and i can do whatever i want with my crafting! ..which i plan on hopefully being a crafty mother. ..and wife. so now that i have his permission....haha .. just kidding..anyways..the picture is my cousin Paige's ..she has TWO adorable little girls that are always hair assecorized. Some people will definately tell me this is too many...and a little obsessive..me.i say Paige is welcome in the family! haha. but hey.. what more could a girl want? if you saw her kids.. you would want this many also! haha.. so SOMEDAY! (there is also hard headbands and soft headbands and ones on pony tails she says)ps.. i heard the flowers are not only for little girls.. they would share with mommy and auntie marlie and morgan too!
