my worst enemy

This thing ruined my life!! they should put it on FML.com

Birth Control!!!!
-for a few reasons.... it keeps me from being what i want to be most. i know that it is just percautionary measures. but..its NOT worth it. The way that stupid pill made me feel. I was an emotional wreck. ALL the time. .. Huston and i decided it was not healthy for me, nor our relationship. i went into this sort of depression almost. Huston and i just kept telling ourselves there were too many factors right now.. being newly married and just moving away. and that it was just me being homesick. but .. truth is.. it was that DAMN pill. I didnt ever feel good. I was insecure and never felt like doing ANYTHING but laying in bed and i took EVERYTHING personal. ... so.low and behold.. im off of it-but not to be a parent. just let me clear that up;)(there are other measures that can be taken). it was supposed to just be an "experiment"...but truth be told... I have been off of the stuff for almost three weeks now, and i just FEEL so much better. Huston likes to make a joke out of it..and say things like..."if i ever would have said something like that to Birth Control Kilie, She would have flipped and started crying probably"....So now what??... I never wanna take that crap again! haha. and i was only on the thing for four months. I have heard there are different pills. and i have been told to go see a doctor to try something different... but i dont want to. I seriously feel this huge difference in myself. I want to work out. i have energy. i want to play. and i am appreciating my husband so much more and we are laughing alot more together and its just so much more healthy. Why would i chance that by trying another pill??... ya im done with that shiz! :) u should be too!

Huston's Facebook Status!

Dropped in on a massive 12 foot wave today at GasChambers (if you do not know the technicalities of those beaches right there, you might think it is Pipeline), then you paddle out to go to get in line to catch the "Big One" that you see breaking out at second reef, you make it out there and get in perfect line, right behind where the monsters are breaking, then right as you were in the perfect spot (you also have a Hawaiian surfer trailing behind you because of the 12 footer he saw you take) this Huge 15 foot wall comes out of no where and is far tooooo developed to try to duck dive under under it, let alone catch it, and is coming at you way to steep and fast to be able to get behind it, and the massive wall crashes right on top of both of you, luckily you knew what was about to hit you, you do your short quick breaths to expand your lungs plenty, then do the best duck dive you can, which you know was going to be futile cause it was coming down right on top of you both......................................................... the wave crashes, the power behind such a huge wave like that is like an aquatic train that then throws you down into the coral infested water, then continues to pull you along with it as it hurdles towards shore, the whole time holding you under, spinning you, pulling your leashed arm all over place, hoping that the leash doesn't wrap around another extremity... especially your neck , finally the time comes when you feel like you can make it to the top now to suck on that sweet salty air which beats the watery alternative..... so you kick and swim, but you realize that you have lost one of your fins during the beating, but know you can not worry about that now because your lungs burn from such an extended period of time of depravation, you know from past experience too that that was only the first wave too, and that you are now in a dangerous zone where the waves continue to break right on top of you...the dreaded break zone.... so as your head breaches the water you take one huge breath.... look.... and know that you are about to be trampled by another wall, hopefully not bigger than the previous, you see that it is not as big but some what comparable to it, and so you dive as deep as you can again, hoping that you will come out as lucky as you did, not being smashed to the reefy bottom that has claimed lives.............. you are then hit again, the same things happen, it seems as though this one holds you under longer, when in reality it is shorter, but because of the exertion of the last one, and the quick ONE breath you got does not seem to suffice .... you somehow make it to the top again and kick with your one fin as hard as you can to get behind the next wave coming, thanking the big man above that it was not a billabong (a three wave set versus a two).... as you kick and swim with your might to accomplish what seems to be a perilous journey, you still look out for that fin which is going to help you catch a wave back in from second reef, you see however the next wave and it is getting bigger, not knowing if you are going to charge it hard and fast enough to get behind it, you feel your self literally gradually swimming up a mountain that gets steeper and steeper and if you don't make it you are going get thrown from the peak of the wave straight in front of it for a very real potential of injury or even death....... you feel your self make it over as you were paddling literally not figuratively, straight up a wall..... to your great surprise though you didn't do something right, and you get dragged down behind it, which is a completely different ride in it of itself, it pulls you ten times the strength of gravity into a white watery grave it seems which is comparable to getting pulled by a boat under water at 25 MPH, you want to take a breath but you know you can't even though you are so close to the surface, but still being dragged behind this massive force just under the surface, finally after what feels an eternity, you feel it ease up and you kick up to the surface with your one naked foot and fin, you suck for air again and see that you have been dragged in far enough away from the monsters that you can take a second breath, and as you do, to your great surprise you fin is right next to you, you grab it put it on as quickly as possible and start kicking so as to catch the wave coming at you, you start kicking and swimming gradually getting pulled up and up onto another watery mountain but this time facing forward, the force behind you propels you fast enough though to get in front of the wave and fly down it's face, and have a nice ride all the way back to shore. You feel relieved and somewhat at ease once out of the water, but still soooo compelled to go out again, you look to the right once walking out of the water and see that the Hawaiian who was obliterated with you has lost his board because the wave snapped his leash, and feel almost lucky and that calling it quits for the day would be an ok thing to do after all. On the drive home you think to yourself, how intense it was and dangerous, but then you remember the 12 foot wave that you caught so right, right before that, and how good it was, and how awesome and serene it was to be the show for the watching Hawaiian surfer that would be smashed with you a little later. you think to yourself how awesome it is, i live in Hawaii, and i get to board on such monster waves. you reflect on the other smaller rides and how fun they had been while talking with one of your buddies who also caught some great waves, and then you get home, to something that was better than that all.......... the best wife in the world, who has made you and your buddy dinner and then later makes you the most amazing brownies ever. She then sits down by you on the couch lets you put your legs on her and fall asleep because she knows that you only got thirty minutes of sleep the night before, before going to work all night!!! Kilie is the best ever, and is my best friend, and i love her more than anything!!!! THe End

She didnt even Swear....

Seriously my husband just spent an hour and a half updating our status on facebook. haha.. who even does that....and the best part is.. after he tried to post it..it told him it was TOOO long! haha... facebook much!?? and he gives me a hard time about being on it too much!..... ya right! a whole hour and a half ONLY updating our status!??? ....... ..ps... come to find out..he just felt like writing about his WHOLE day. ya.. its two and a half pages long. ..lol...and now since it wont post on facebook he wants me to put it on our blog! .. so i guess i will!! :)

Q-205

Building Q #205 in Temple view Apartments is where we now reside for the rest of our stay in Hawaii! lately i have had a few people ask us..exactly how long we plan on staying... truth is.. we dont know! but the plan right now is for Huston to finish his undergrad here and then wherever he gets into med. school is where we will go. :) We want to eventually end back up in Arizona, but i have a feeling my husband is falling in love with the ocean and his tan just as much as i am! haha... anyways.. we love the new place! i promise i will post pictures soon. The place is not fully done yet. I will post pictures when its done! .. But something about being settled...having white walls to hang things on...a clean clean place..that feels.almost new well it.. just excites me. I am loving it! .. We love it way better than the bridge house already! We basically had nothing to start out with. The bridge house was furnished so we needed nothing...and this apt. there was a WHOLE kitchen with NOTHING in it. So we had to make a trip to ROSS... LOVE that place. but got everything for our kitchen very cheap! :) ..So now we have a kitchen...and when i start working, we are going to move onto the living room. We also scored a great deal on Craiglist..Which is the BOMB by the way. We got a new Entertainment center with a TV for only 75 bucks. Its nice to finally be making a home together! ... Anyways...we havent met too many of our neighbors yet, but we are excited to go to our new ward tomorrow, and meet new friends...mostly we are excited for.... an OVEN in our kitchen! :) haha.. it is so nice not to have to take two hours to cook because our little hot plate doesnt quite get hot enough, and its nice to be able to bake! We do so much of that!:) ...anyways.... Sorry fellow readers.. i am just excited to be in a new place...the lord has been blessing us so much, i guess i should really be thanking him because without him we would not be making it right now. He has really taught us alot lately about the blessings of service, and sacrifice, and he will make the rest happen if you really just trust him! .. I testify thats true! TRUST in the lord with all thine heart, and he shall direct thy path!

Good Joke.

my friend Lindsey and her beautiful baby!
Sky Adair..is always smiling! Who wouldnt want that?

Taylor Summer Neilson just entered the world last month and ..is beautiful and im so happy for Ben and Krista. I know they are great parents already!

...We just moved into a one bedroom apt. ..in married housing on campus.. We love it! its nice and roomy, and its JUST us! ... thats the thing... Its just US! haha.. I swear every neighbor in the q building that we have met so far...has a baby!... Grrr! I keep teasing Huston..telling him its some kind of a sign. Because literally i feel like we are the only ones in our building without one!..almost like when you move into the building u become "with child" ;).he always laughs and says "good joke"...NOT..haha.. but seriously everyone has at least 1 child..there is a newborn next door, and everyone else has CUTE fat four-eight month olds. I see cute moms out at the swings in our "yard" all the time..and i hear giggling babies..and i look out the window... and just SMILE... yepp SOMEDAY... not sure when.. but as soon as i can convince my husband its time... haha im not wasting anytime. I want to be a mom more than anything!.. and i know i am still young, but ever since we got married it just feels like the next step. I cant wait to start our family!ps.. i realize all these pictures are baby girls..thats just cuz that all i know right now!Its not saying anything..cuz i dont care what we have..its jut the having part that counts! lol haha.. Soon our good friends Kc and Sherry will have baby boy. in like two weeks..and i will probably show him off...they dont know it yet.. but ill be visiting him alot! haha. How could he not be cute with them as parents!?

.

Craft.

This morning i was putting pictures in frames..and had to scrap a few things..and it just made me miss being crafty. I wish i could think of cool crafts...and just do them!.. I am hoping someday my mom will send me my sewing machine so i can sew up a nice couch cover, and some pillows for our couch..or at least attempt to do them .. I want to start trying a bunch of things. Whether its sewing..making flowers...scrapbooking...anything.. u name it.. i miss it! ...or more like i want it.. Someday we will be able to afford for me to craft! hhaha...I get so many ideas from my friends, they are all so talented! I am still working on developing those talents, but its so fun! Right now, i am currently loving learning more about cooking, and trying new things. That can be my new craft for now!! But we just moved into this wondeful apartment.. i just want to start doing all these things for our future home. :) It makes it more OURS!

The "Pipe" and Sunset!

"Sunset"
The "Pipe"

We will be the proud owners of these beautiful babies soon:) ... + Cool horns and a basket for "Sunset" .. yep the new names of our bikes will be the "Pipe" and "Sunset"! After the big waves my husband loves so much! :) We are so excited to finally have bikes.. to save money on gas, and to just enjoy evening strolls on the beautiful things. Right now the argument is how do we keep them nice? with no rust!????.... yep...still trying to figure that out...before i knew we would be upstairs..my thought was that we would just wheel them inside our house everynight, but we are now in an upstairs apt. .. i will figure this out! ... Welcome new pride and joy!:)

General Conference.

This years 180th Annual General Conference could not have come at a more perfect time in our lives. We needed to hear the words of the apostles more that usual this year. There was just so much comfort in thier words..telling us repeated times that they love us, and that GOD does answer prayers. :) Huston said he really enjoyed the Priesthood session the most, but my favorite talk was the talk on motherhood. I hope to aquire so many traits as a mother to make me the best worthy example for my children some day! It made me and i think Huston too that we really need to get where we want to be before we start our own family! .. I just love how motivating it is...and how much better i feel after hearing all the counsel of the apostles and especially from the prophet. :) We love General Conference! We also loved the special messages about Christ, and his resurrection and bringing to pass the atonement for us so that we could return to his presence. What a beautiful message! These talks were definately inspired for the world, but we felt like they were specifically talking to us sometimes...Amazing how Heavenly Father really does answer our prayers!

Easter!!

-Saturday night we had Sherry and KC over for dinner! we made pizza's and played games. the food was good and so was the company!:) We had alot of fun. We played this game called Pirate's dice. It was crazy fun. I am terrible at it..but Huston seemed to catch on pretty quick! I was always the first one out..literally! haha... oh well. Anyways we we really enjoyed having them over! Thanks guys for coming and bringing pineapple and drinks! ...We should play more often!

-Earlier in the month the girls, Kaitlin and Olivia(our hawaii little sisters) wanted to have an easter sleepover and they asked Huston if he could be thier easter bunny if thier parents sent thier packages...We of course said yes.. me being the little kid i still am was really excited too. :) haha.. So the girls came over later on saturday night like around 10:30ish..and we had ice cream and laughed until we all passed out. At around 8am sunday morning..the "easter bunny" came! haha... My parents sent us a really fun easter package too so we all got a little note from the easter bunny(Huston) ...and some goodies! .. It was funny!I felt like a little kid again. Huston is going to be such a great dad, he really enjoyed doing that, plus he was just excited as we were.. then we had breakfast and skyped with my family for a little bit, and watched Conference. :) We had lunch at around 1pm. and then watched the second session of Conference. Later that night we died easter eggs. ..it was a very relaxing but fun easter. We really enjoyed our first easter being married. It was weird being away from family...but i guess you could say we made our own little family and enjoyed the simplicity of it:)

Electric Beach! :)

this was the smaller one that snapped at me.

Electric Beach is a nice beach if the surf advisory is low! We drove to the west side of the island...and snorkeled. it was sooo beautiful! the water is seriously so blue, and so warm.and clear.which is why we went there because the warmer water attracts dolphins! Which we did see a few jumping out quite a bit farther from where we were, but we didnt get to snorkel with any of them. there were too many divers and people there. But it was a beautfiul day on the hot beach and in the nice water! :) We saw a turtle the size of almost a car. It was crazy big! :) and another small turtle i was excited to see so i waved at it..and it snapped at me. Why does sea life hate me??? haha..anyways... We are excited to try this place again to see if we ever get to swim close to dolphins! :)

Beached Seals...

So far we have found two seals on the beach. Its so fun to start seeing all this sea life! living near the ocean is so different from living in a desert your whole life! I didnt get a picture with it, because it was fine with everyone else..but it must have known me.. because it barked at me as soon as i started getting close. so i was too scared! lol

Sacred Falls

Sacred Falls is an Illegal hike, but man was it BEAUTIFUL! Huston had class, and i dont have a job yet..so i decided to just go do this hike with a few of our friends. It was sooo worth it. i cant wait to do it with Huston! It was incredible. Your on a normal hike next to a stream for a while, and all of a sudden your in a canyon and you look up to this amazing water fall! I really enjoyed it. Even though its illegal..haha.. Its illegal i guess because i guess if it is raining there are rock slides in the canyon. ..:)

Ted's Bakery!

chillin on the beach.

ya...Hot!!!
Broken Fin!
not quite sure what was so funny! lol

ya thats our pork sandwhich! Awesome!

The following saturday after a really long friday we all just decided to literally spend all day on the beach. We started at turtle bay and ended back at north shore. :) it was so nice to just sleep on the beach all day however We got so sunburnt! Huston spent mostly all day out on his body board. the waves were so strong it ripped his fin off.. literall broke his fin. Crazy crazy. ..He also attempted Pipeline which was huge that day:) he grabbed an eightfooter and loved every second of it. :) He is so crazy, but he loves those big waves. haha.. Anyways..We finally got to try TED's! we have heard its amazing but we have never stopped to eat there. We got a BBQ pork sandwhich which was awesome:) and then we ate a slice of our friends pie which was great too! ya.. we loved it! ..:) Its a little north shore popular place where almost everyone stops to eat. its Always busy and we finally tried it! It was GREAT! :)

Lighthouse/Spitting caves

spitting caves.

Lighthouse lovin:)

Cool sunrise!
He was still alive after jumping. and i was happy!

Last weekend Huston had Friday off of school...So we headed at 4am to do the Lighthouse Hike! It was sooo beautiful watching the sunrise over the whole ocean, and it was a beautiful day:) The sea was so calm that we saw whales jumping up. Closer than i have ever seen them before, at least 5 of them. it was amazing!! After the Lighthouse we drove into town and Huston of course cliff jumped spitting caves. it was a 55 ft. cliff. The reason its called Spitting caves is because you have to jump at the right time or the current sucks you into a cave and literally blows you flying out. like its spitting at you. Its alot like a blowhole! it was pretty awesome. Huston Loved it...of course me being me..didnt jump because well.. do i ever? haha. it was such a beautiful LONG day :) but so worth getting up early because of the day we were able to have. I wander sometimes why i am not a morning person?? but then i wake up in the mornings...and realize why! haha. Anyways.. Hawaii is full of adventure, and we are loving it:) ...ps..yep i still need a job!

April Fools...

So... umm... last year for April Fools.. Huston was still on his mission...and i happened to write him a "real" dear john letter. I told him i met someone..and that it had not been very long but that i was sure i was going to spend my life with this person.. I didnt tell him it was an April Fools joke until the very very end of the email..as i went on and on about how much i still loved him for being my friend and you get my drift... it was legit!! I thought i was pretty good. I guess it really did kind of upset him though. but im not quite sure how someone could even write a dear john letter with only 3 weeks left of the missionary coming home. haha.. anyways.. Huston didnt like that very much. ..

So...this year... WE ARE MARRIED!(almost 4 mo. now) ....and Huston picked me up this morning from babysitting and asked me if we could go for a drive... ( i have no idea or trace of it being April fools day either)...He seemed serious... I was a little worried and i wandered why...but i said ya sure.. lets go.. so we started driving away, and he said "Ki, i really need to talk to you." .. in a more serious tone.. i said sure babe, anything. He started to say that he hadnt been going to work every night. he had been calling in sick.(he works nights) .. well where have you been going then? He then went on to say that he had been driving to the city sometimes and would go to the Clubs...he said he only went to one strip club but that he enjoyed it...and would probably be going back. My immediate reaction if you know Huston..he is a trickster.. so of course i thought he was LIEING... WTF??... he kept a serious face for a good five minutes.. and let tears almost roll down my eyes...once he saw the tears coming he started laughing.... ok ok.. so he got me good! .. I shouldnt have fallen for it.. but it was good!

i hate this holiday! i am gullable.. always have been..and usually dont pay attention to the day either.. haha ... oh well.. at least we are even!

ps. Happy birthday Grandpa Verl. it has been a very long time... but i miss getting GUM from you! its hard to believe you could supply GUM for your million and 2 grandkids... there was never a time i asked my grandfather for a piece of Gum and he didnt have any!... Keep jean in line, and tell Braiden i love him! His new brother in law makes his sister very happy! :)

Put the peices together.

We were given a puzzle for a wedding present! I remember the card saying something like its simple but to remember the simple things...they are important!! .... So we started doing this puzzle last night, and it was so fun! We talked... and did the whole outside of the puzzle and then started working on the middle of it. but we didnt get very far there... i got a little frusterated. But it was really fun to talk and spend the evening together. It was quiet and enjoyable! We both told stories of times we remember doing puzzles. Huston remembers doing them with grandma farnsie all the time.. and i remembered doing them on rainy days in lakeside, az with my cousins Shelly and Danny. What a blessing to do something so simple and enjoy it so much?? :)
