Tell me about life in Hawaii tell me about everything tell me about the outside world as much as i love the spirit here its like a giant hamster cage its rediculous.
well got to go love you
Elder Rainey
I was about to cry, because he is not really a very affectionate person and he said that he loved us and were examples to him... and then i read the part about how he describes the MTC as a hamster cage, and it ruined the moment.
It made us laugh so hard. My husband agreed with his consensus.
BIrthday Cake
I told my husband I wanted this cake for my birthday.
hahaha
He said it would probably turn out more like this one....
We shall see what happens!!!

Simplicity
Today.. a few things made me happy, and it was great
1. Birthday planning. I am too spoiled.
2. FaceTime with one of my amazing best friends
3. Another friend is having twins! which is crazy to think about!
4. about an hour of uninterrupted time with my husband of talking and giggling
5. the Bachelor (its drama is pretty funny)
6. I felt like i got things DONE
7. Writing my little brother a letter
Now if i could just pretend I went to the gym and call it good, we have a perfect day!

Journal
Last night I bought an app. Its called Day One Journal. I am excited about it.
I am going to keep a journal. Its computerized, even better than writing. I don't have patience to sit and hand write. But this is a real goal of mine that i am determined to keep this year. Determined.
Its about time i keep record of my life.

8am church
Church at 2pm..... AWEFUL. Im pretty sure I was the only one on the planet that was ok with that time because of my "old" work schedule and my "old" job.
Now..we have church at .... Dun dun dun...
8am- I have mixed feelings about it. Its a little too early for me, but I can't complain the time I have to spend with my husband for the rest of the day, and listen to church music, watch church movies, make dinners together, bake, and relax. Last sunday we watched the Emma Smith movie. That woman... we all can learn a lot from.
Anyway... Its amazing to have a sabbath day again. The little things in life bring us the most joy.

Saturday
today i was supposed to catch up on the blog, do some homework, clean my house ..Obviously that didn't happen
and instead of all of that... I spent it at the beach. Which at the time seemed like a better idea..
Now.. i may be really truly red and look like a steamed lobster.
YIKES! shoulda stuck to homework but figured enjoying Hawaii was a good alternative

Sewing
I have been spending some time on Pinterest lately. more than usual. I go in phases, however that being said...I really miss my sewing machine. I should have brought her back with me.
Over Christmas we formed a great relationship. She ran smoothly and I learned a lot about her and I think she and I are going to find friendship for the rest of my adulthood. I fell in love with her. Yep she is just a machine, but its true. I love her almost as much as I loved my green beach cruiser Bessie.
Here are some of the fun projects I was able to do over break with my mom and sister...
1. Tail bags for my little sisters spoiled horse Duncan
2. Multiple scarfs
3. My mother in law's temple bag
**Nothing too difficult, but definitely fun and enjoyable to keep me busy as I was adjusting to the time difference on the Mainland (I may or may not have stayed up late every night, late being 2-3am which Hawaii time is only 11-12pm)

2012 Motto
I want to print this out and put it everywhere in my home. I really need to be better at living by this particular principle.
Here's to 2012 being a better, stronger, more positive year!!!

Buying a House
After graduation.. our goal is buy a home. We have fun exploring this idea.. and we hope that it is actually a reality more than a dream. The loan rates are so low at the moment and the market is perfect for first time buyers because of the low rates. Especially in Arizona.
We had a fun time looking at model homes over break. It was just because we were bored... but it turned out to be a great idea because we had so much fun talking about where we wanted to live, and in what kind of house. We loved all of the upgrades, but of course those are not included in the prices shown on the homes. Of course most of the homes we looked at, are out of our price range but this fun date made it more of a reality for us. In the next year we could be homeowners. ...
Ok ok.. probably in the next 2 years, but still that is no time at all.
Ikea
Huston had never been to Ikea before... so over break, we had a fun date with my family and we went to Ikea.
He LOVED it. By the time we were on the last floor he was ready to go home, but he loved it. Especially since it is our goal to buy a house soon.
He also loved it because of all the European influence, it reminded him a lot of his mission.
Man, we can't wait to buy a house someday and get to do our own upgrades and enjoy putting together a home. OUR home.

Writers Block
Aloha fellow bloggers. Apparently my favorite thing about blogging has become the revamp of the blog, and not the writing of blog posts.
Things like:
Beautiful Passion Photography Photos
Rainey Family Photo Shoot
Our trip home
Our feelings about 2012
New Years Resolutions
Jenson Leaving on his mission
Christmas
Employment changes (which i have not yet talked about)
Sorry if you were thinking I was going to announce something fun... As much fun as that would be...no fun announcements YET. We have officially been trying to conceive a child for 13 months now, and we have a good feeling about the year. Hopefully well get to post that news sooner than later.
**If you are much older and wiser than us, please refrain from telling us your feelings about wanting to conceive a child so soon, and about my impatience in this matter. We know we are still young, and we know we are still in school. We also know that the Lord has his timing, but when you have had the desire to become a parent for this long(and I'm aware its not that long) its kind of hard. If any of you know me very well, its the whole patience matter. I get it from my mother! :) and ... i sometimes feel like I'm the last man standing. Literally.
Forgive me. I have a lot of catching up to do. Stay tuned, We have a lot to share.

Longest, most needed vacay
Adding a whole extra week to our stay at home this year was FANTASTIC.
I would like to apologize in advance ... honestly and truly to all those we were unable to see this year.
We will be home next year for good, and didn't really see much need to broaden our horizons outside of family. It doesn't mean we don't love you, it just means we were enjoying our families too much.
Over break we went to New Mexico, and then spent the rest of our time in Gilbert. It was busy yet mostly relaxing. We baked a lot, ate at all our favorite places, I sewed a lot and fell in love with my machine I got for 8th grade graduation, and we saw a lot of movies. The extra week really worked out for us. Last year our trip was just way too rushed. This year we got to see my brother get set apart, speak at his farewell, see him off at the airport, and enjoy our families a whole lot more.
Here are some photos from our trip, didn't really take that many, but some:
I miss my little sister. I forgot how much i really loved my sister. She is seriously my best friend, and she said multiple times to me on the tripe.. "Kilie, I miss you so much." It made me feel so good as a big sister. We did hair, nails, and make-up almost every day.. she is a typical teenager and didn't really like to go shopping with me, but we still had fun and we spent much needed quality time together. I even tried to teach her to sew, but she wasn't really that into it.
Over break we had family photos taken:
they turned out pretty good.
and Huston's cousin took our couple photos. Its been 2 years since we have had nice photos so I really wanted them. Thanks Kelsey. WE LOVE THEM!!
**If you need photos taken her tag is BEAUTIFUL PASSION PHOTOGRAPHY and she is great. She really knows a lot and will help pose you.
