Senior Prom 2007 ..three days before leaving to the MTC

the very beginning!! this picture was taken on our first date in 2006

Hey all, This is Kilie! :) I will let Huston write his side of the story when he has time!! But i have just been thinking so much lately about our lives and how we have grown together so much through the past three years! so i wanted to write a little about our story! and when we met.. and how..and post lots of pictures from then till now! I cant believe i am going to marry my best friend! he is perfect! Anyways.. We met.. In SEMINARY my sophmore year in sister Brinkerhoff's class!! He and this kid named Garret were quite the character's that Sister B had to sit me in between the two to keep them quiet!! Huston doesnt remember me for one second! haha.. We were not nessicarily friends in HS but aquaintences! I sure did know who he was! He had a fro, and was extremly friendly and outgoing and i always felt comfortable saying hello to him! He was always kind and said hello back.. but obviously never knew who i was! haha.. Well then.. His senior year, we had alot of mutual friends and on his graduation night i seemed to be at every graduation party he was at! It started at Tawnie Crowe's(now Ballard) house! We played DDR against each other and i was losing so bad i just walked off.. haha later to find Huston greeting me with "Whats the matter, you losing so bad you cant handle it!??" .. haha Wow!! what a way to a girls heart there Huston;)... Anyways.. we had continued "flirting" and talking when finally i took his phone because i thought it was cool! and i put my number in his phone as the number ONE contact!! We both ended the night in saying we would gladly hang out again sometime!! Well.. a month, two months, three... four... five... SIX months later.. after deleting his number from my phone because i never heard from him..I get a phone call asking me on a date for that friday night (Oct. 8,2006) It was funny, because he expected me to know who he was!???? lol I didnt remember until he told me his name finally was Huston! and i was like Oh ....Huston! haha.. Anyways.. First date... Shooting in the desert, and dinner!! Huston as a joke purposed on our first date! what the?? It was hilarious! needless to say our story began that very night in Olive Garden! We both had laughed so hard, and just enjoyed each other so much that I was asked on a second date:) ... we had started talking more and more over the phone and via myspace too, when finally the unheard of (for Huston) happened!! I was then asked to go on a THIRD date, YEP THREEEEEEE dates!???? This was getting unusual for Huston's normaility! Everyone was getting worried he might actually like me and get a GIRLFRIEND before his mission????(which he swore up and down that he wouldnt) Anyways.. It was that third date he sealed the deal with a kiss, and after the second date he told me he liked me! So there was a mutual interest for sure! Pretty much after the third date.. They never ended! We became best friends and always had sooo much fun together! I was going over my PHONE bill all the time texting and talking to him. This boy, just .. He just... lit up my WHOLE world!! We left things at a very.. open minded setting when he left for Germany on the mission! Huston said i love you, but date and enjoy yourself! and i said.. i wanted to wait! So .. He left to serve the lord.. and I found a way to do BOTH.. date and wait! I did think i was in love while he was gone! and i almost got married to someone.. but i was stuck permanently on Huston that i felt strongly i needed to hold out. On April 30,2009 he returned home from Germany! After two years of only letters and emails from my BEST FRIEND... i got a HUGE hug and a nice big greeting at the airport! Huston is still my best best friend, and we spent the first couple weeks staying out till 4am sometimes 5am just talking, laughing, and catching up with each other! I would say it has been bliss ever since! There was a rough patch of being "broken up" for about a month, but we try not to think about that.. Now we are ENGAGED and getting married DEC. 19th, 2009! It has been a looonnnggg wait, but Huston... You are sooooo worth it! You are the love of my life, and i wouldnt trade it for anything. I love you soo much and cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you! I know we will have tons of adventures and storms, but together we will get through it all. As long as i have you, nothing else really matters! Your the best i ever had! ps. i tried really hard to get the pictures in order.. but i couldnt do it.. blogging is weird. haha ... gotta love it!
-And that is my story and im sticking to it!

Kilie exhilarated to shake the Prophets hand, and just doesn't know how to contain herself!!!!

She wanted to take a picture with everything and i just couldn't stand it any more...haha!!!J/K

Where the saints crossed the river!!!

Long time no see gramps... love ya!!!!

That Ox did not like kilie, haha, oxen are cool!!! Oxen are not a breed, Ox is a title!!!!

A lot of sacrifice!!!

She is sooooooo pretty!!!I love her!!!

They are all cool!!! We really enjoyed this!!!

Huston and I ventured up to Nauvoo for the weekend!! We have had such a blast there!! Man, Nauvoo is a neat place! There is so much history there! We have had such a neat time visiting all the sites! and the Hatches!! Huston has not seen his grandparents since before his mission so it has been really really fun spending sooo much time with them!! Thursday night when we got here we had an apt. at the temple for baptisms! It is SUCH a beautiful temple!! i cant wait to come back someday when i can go through the whole building! anyways, grams and gramps were able to do this with us, which made the temple work that much better!! We love them soo much!! Then on friday.... i think a ONCE IN A LIFETIME oppurtunity happened!! Grams and Gramps took the weekend off to spend time with us, however, They got called last minute to be at this "special" friday meeting. They told us they couldnt tell us who was coming or what it was going to be about, but that we should pick them up promptly at 3. and be taking LOTS of pictures! haha.. Well.. Turns out.. PRESIDENT THOMAS S. MONSON the prophet of our church comes walking out of the temple. Neat neat feeling!! I saw him about to get into his car..and i simply muttered his name like a little kid " President Monson" .. He looked up, and saw my face..and waved me over to see him!! What a nice man! He shook my hand and i apologized to him for the inconvience, his response was not to be sorry, to tell him my first name! So i introduced myself and Huston!! He met another family and shook our hands again! He told me as we were about to leave, to "hold on to him!(Huston)! We both felt very excited and happy to have met the prophet of the Lord! you could feel his spirit and his power!! The next day we went to carthage jail and that was a really neat testimony builder for the both of us! We were able to feel the spirit where the prophet of our church was killed. Not the best feeling, but it made it real! Our experiences here in nauvoo have been awesome! the saints went through so much to make our church where it is today, all because they believed in our Savior Jesus Christ! We love grams and Gramps and are most certainly greatful for the awesome weekend we were able to have!!! Sunday we went to church and then drove to Macomb, IL to visit my great grandmother and aunt! I appreciate the Hatches for taking us to do that too! it was soo good to get to see them! :) i havent seen them in probably five or six years, and my aunt even longer!!!!Needless to say it was an AWESOME trip!

Luckily she went to go take a shower, so I could tell you all how awesome she is, she is the one that paid for us to come up here for my birthday present. I love her so much, we had an awesome time together, and just enjoyed each other so much laughing and spending spiritual time together, growing closer and just enjoying our time as a couple. We love to make each other laugh, and love being goofy!!!! She is my world, and makes me the happiest guy around!!! Just look at the photos and you can see why I love her so much, she is gorgeous, and funny and just everything I want!!! We Loved it, and I love her!!!! Thanks Ki for the awesome trip!!!! U are the Best!!!!
