up late doing homework.

I think i have got to get better at this student thing. yep. .. Its only 11:15pm but i still have to read. A LOT. Today though.. i can honestly say its my fault. I came home from work. and did some homework for about 45 min, and then...

... Huston and i decided to take a trip to the garden. we watered, and weeded, and planted. :) This is such a fun project. Seriously, i am enjoying it. Huston put the drip line in on saturday and he did a fantastic job. I cant wait until the first sprout pops up! :)Huston and i sang a primary song while planting today. "Faith is like a little seed" It made me smile. While we were there, a hard working gardening hawaiian dude was harvesting some fresh RIPE papaya's. He was so kind, and he shared with us, along with giving us his good gardening tips for hawaii. Anyways.. we came home.

.... we ate the fresh papaya... are you seeing a trend here?... I am now back at home, with my books spread out everywhere, and not doing homework yet. The papaya was fantastically ripe and made me salivate instantly. I will enjoy more of that for breakfast. Then.. the best thing of the night happened. HOUSE aired last night, and we missed it. so.. yep once again, not doing the homework thing.. Huston and i had to had to watched HOUSE. I forgot how much i missed that show. I am soooo happy about the new season! After HOUSE i promised myself that i would get back to my homework, so Huston went to work out at the gym so i could focus..and well then i remember GLEE started up again tonight! so of course i had to watch GLEE while attempting to do homework. lol.. moral of the story is.. well.. i dont really know. Because there are too many distractions now days. How am i supposed to take 18 credits, and stay caught up with my shows, and be a wife and spend time with Huston!? haha.. Easy.. I guess you just have to do your homework late at night while you listen to your husband snore. Currently i am giving myself a blogging break because i really have been trying to be a diligent student. i could have chosen not to read at all, most of my homework was just reading. but i am learning that if i read the material before class, i learn more, and am more attentive. :)

So.. enjoy pictures of our fresh papaya, and our awesome garden. .. homework.. i guess we re-unite. grrrrr

o and just one more thing.. i cant tell if its because i am more motivated this time around or if it because i am attending a church college.. but the spirit here i will definitely say is different. We open class with prayer. A little weird, but totally rocks my socks. I love the spirit of a church college, and having gospel discussions during class. Its amazing what you can relate to the gospel, and its fun doing it in a school setting. i dont know if i was so good at that when i was at NAU. anyways.. its very spiritually uplifting and i feel like its making getting my education alot easier. The spirit definitely resides with me throughout the day. its hard to explain.. but i love it! :)

whats in my head...

-i like to sleep in... currently i have a 7 day a week schedule right now where that is not going to ever be possible. I will be resorting to naps whenever i can.

-Homework will be consuming most of my time, i can already tell. This becoming a more motivated student thing is going to cramp my blogging style. sorry readers.

-I love getting notes :) they make me happy. I got a really fun note from some cousins and my aunt this week in the mail, and a friend left a really really nice thank you note on my door today. just enough to ease the stress level after day 2 of classes.

-I have the best friend in the whole world. :) i live with him, he has curly hair..and smiles all the time and is really silly. He makes it worth getting up in the morning is all i wanna say. I love my husband.

-a funny quote on my friends facebook made me laugh, but its soo true. Over hear a convo going something like this, "so, were you born in 1991 or 1992?" ....what the!? kids from the 90's already?? I am old.

-we started our garden. i will post pictures soon. we found a beautiful garden close to ours that is very well kept and it is very motivating for us. We cant wait to plant the seeds, and get the water piping in, and build our little fence around it. .. my only thing is.. WHEN WILL I EVER HAVE TIME FOR THAT!? .. It is something we plan to always work on TOGETHER so one is not always doing the work. :) anyways.. hopefully we can get our veggies to grow in this RED hawaiian soil.

-we miss our family. it is time to go home. i think school just slowed my time frame down SOOO much. its going to be a LONG semester

-did i already mention textbooks are expensive? Huston really has not had to buy very many...and all of a sudden i needed one for EVERY dang class. ha. EXPENSIVE!

-i am not looking forward to big wave season..coming up..SOON. I will never see my husband. haha

-i could be doing some homework right now.. but i am not. so i should probably get back to that... but hey... TGIF.. only i wont have much of weekends anymore. Say goodbye to those. :)

LOVVEEE
ME!

Biology and LDS history. so total 18 credits.. woop woop. im going to need some encouragment. lol.. first things first.. everyone looks like they are 12 at school. all these new freshmen..haha am i that old? wow. It was nice to see a few familiar faces from TVA though.. i did like seeing some smiles.. but all in all..now i remember why i dont like school.. sitting in classes all day isnt fun. haha.. but i am working on developing at ATTITUDE of learning. :) It will come the more i work at it right? :) ...AND. I came home to a VERY clean house in which last night it looked like a monster trashed it.. so i am also very greatful to a loving husband who didnt have class... and didnt just play all day.. he cleaned the house for me and then played. It was wonderful to come home and be able to focus on homework in a clean house. Thanks Huston. He is the man. .... and Baby Manning has officially arrived. :) We are so happy that Melissa is ok, and that baby is too. His name is Milo Kalai and i cant wait till he comes home.

Sept. 11

One year ago today... my handsome husband got down on one knee at Olive Garden with a beautiful diamond ring and asked me to marry him. That was the best desicion i have ever made. chosing to be with him the rest of my life and being sealed to him for time and all eternity. He is my best friend! I cant believe how fast time is going by...but i cant wait to see what our future has in store for us. Our one year anniversary is coming up in 3 months. I cant believe that.

-It is also the most awesome woman in the worlds birthday. Happy birthday Grandma Jean! i seriously miss you soooooo much. you are one wonderful woman! You could always light up my face with your smile. You raised 9 crazy kids including my mom and thats saying alot about the caliber of women you are! .. Happy birthday! you are missed! Make those angels of yours spoil you, and tell them we say hello! :)
