Maylie and her ponies

My sister Marlie rides ponies in shows and is a highly trained rider. It was only inevitable that Maylie be on a horse before she was 5 months old. She has literally been obsessed ever since...

Now that she is two, my mom put her in a small equestrian portion of Marlie's horse show called lead line. She is quite the character, she waves, and talks, and when she gets bored she leans down and pats and talks to Marlie's horse. Huston and I just laugh at her while other parents are taking their child quite serious. Maylie took 3rd in her first show, and we thought it was funny because we were the least competitive there. :)

Here are some fun pics for your own enjoyment... I love that she loves to ride ponies with "mor" (Aunt Marlie)

MAYLIES BIRTHDAY

Shortly after our San Diego trip Maylie turned 2 (January 11).

So far its my favorite age. She's hilarious.

She had her very own play date where she picked pizza and helped me make cupcakes for her friends. You could tell she knew it was her day. She was so happy all day.

Sunday, on her actual day she was surrounded by the people who love her most with just a family (both sides) Sunday dinner and cake (Olaf) celebration :)

From mommy and daddy Maylie got to pick out fish and got a fish tank. She's obsessed with it.

San Diego

5 year anniversary present was a trip to San Diego.

We recreated our Honeymoon, it was a blast and our first KID FREE trip. I struggled more than Huston, but Maylie didn't even miss us.

We went to the zoo, ate good food, went whale watching, lounged at our hotel, went to seaport village, different beaches, rented bikes , saw the temple, visited my cousin, went to old town, drank mexican hot chocolate, went seashell hunting, and watched a few sunsets.

Our trip was dreamy and we were sad to come home!
