Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is like the only Football Game a year I watch. Mostly because its my "birthday" party, haha

This year, our cable was out. So we plugged in our computer to the TV. we never thought this little cord would come into handy but we use it all the time.

Anyways, because of the little cord we had, we threw a little last minute "party" for my "birthday" right...;) and we watched the game. The Farnsworth's were rooting for the Patriots, but they LOST. Oh well!

Madonna for the half time show?? NOT TOO BAD.

We all enjoyed many yummy appetizers..

Jalepeno popper rolls

Chips and Salsa

Chili Queso

Sausage

Potato wedges

and Cake and Ice Cream

After the game we played a wide variety of games and entertained people for about a total of 6 hours at our house. I am so spoiled and felt so loved by my friends and Ohana Family. Even if it was a "super bowl" party, and by the way, you may be thinking that is a lot of food.... and your right but not a single bit of it was left!!! :) Lucky for us, our diet got to continue that week.

Miracles Do Happen

Early Saturday morning was tragic. I feel like all bad news gets received in the AM in our family. Anyways, we were informed Saturday morning around 5am our time, that my cousin Kelly Hatch and her husband had been involved in a fatal plane crash.

They were alive, but the Hatches(Gerald and Ruth), Robb's parents passed away.

Its a long story, and I will post the link to the articles, but there is no reason that they should be alive.   It is truly a miracle and the only thing that has kept me going is the image in my head of our family angels speeding to the rescue and guarding their safety. My grandparents, my brother, my uncle, and another cousin I know were by their sides.

Here is a video the young women in the ward made for my cousin Kelly.

It hasn't really sunk in yet. All i know is that I wish I could be on the first flight out to the mainland, but there is no need. I wish I could be with my family to support and be supported. It has been an emotional ride. I am still exhausted, and have to constantly stay busy or I tear up and cry. Yep, i am a cryer, and being on this ROCK doesn't help those tears at all. I am never afraid to let out a little homesickness. Huston has had to deal with that one for almost 3 years now!

Please just keep the Hatch family in your prayers. If you wanna send prayers my way as well, I won't complain. :) Thanks. The family has already felt so much love and support, not just to and for the Hatches, but everyone who this effects.

Mahalo.

Disney Resort

For my Birthday, we celebrated.

This is how:

                                                    Virgin drink or not????

I was so excited to see goofy!! Like seriously excited!

The amazing view from our room

It was so beautiful and so serene, and so beautiful. Thank you Huston for spoiling me.
I was in heaven all weekend. We met Disney characters, relaxed, played at the water park, marked a few things off our bucket list like skinny dipping in the ocean, haha. We just thoroughly enjoyed living like what we call "the other half" (rich people) but come Saturday night we had to come off our high horse and be poor again, only after my crab feast and Red Lobster. See what I mean by spoiled?

Braiden

Dearest Angel Brother,

Man, What a day.. I won't go into that. But all I can say is that I just have this image in my head of you with grandpa and grandma Gillespie, and uncle Mike, pleading with Heavenly Father to rush to Kelly and Robb's side.

I think he allowed you to do so, obviously. Thank you for being a guardian angel. Needless to say, I'm sure your birthday was a little different this year than it has been in the years past. But, Happy Birthday!! I can't believe your 28 years old.

I miss you. A lot. I wish I could know how your life is, and just catch with you for one day. Which is why I have made it a tradition to write you these letters each year. If we could catch up for one day... wether it be in heaven or on earth... I would tell you....

I am happier than I ever have been. I am married to the man of my dreams. I thank Heavenly Father for giving me him every day. He is patient, He is kind, he puts up with me, he spoils me, and you would love him. I wish you could have the chance to be his brother in law.  Mom and Dad adore him as well... finally. I think they had a hard time with him bringing me all the way the island, but they are warming up to the idea after 2 years.

We want children. I hope you are taking care of them for us. I know they are up there, I know you love your nieces and nephews and I am comforted in knowing that. It keeps me going.

I would tell you how proud I am of Jenson. He is amazing, and just arrived in the Dominican. He is prepared, and ready to serve.

Marlie is really growing up. She is talented, funny, and keeps mom and dad on their toes. She is only 13, but acts like she is 22 years old. She is finally the "Principal's Daughter" and I think she hates it just like we all did. She is spoiled, of course. She definitely has the youngest child syndrome and is not afraid to admit it.

Huston and I will both graduate college Dec. 15, 2012. Thats only 10 more months. Time is going by way too fast. We plan to move back home to Arizona, but who knows where life will take us. I am motivated to receive a Master's degree in Social Work, i just have no idea where our life is going at the moment, and its pretty scary. We have a lot to figure out this year.

I would follow by asking you multiple questions. How are you? Tell me what you can about Heaven? How often do you get to visit? Are you married? Do you have children? I can't wait to meet them someday. I have always dreamed of having a "Sister-in-Law" its hard to believe that could be happening sometime in the next five years, if Jenson ever decides to like girls. Haha. How is the family!?

Anyways.. I really wish we could catch up someday. I miss you brother. I hope you are taking good care of the family at this time. I hate being stuck on this rock right now, but I have been so comforted somehow. I have not been left alone.

I love you.

Happy Birthday. Someday Ill buy you lunch, my treat. Sibling friendship is extremely important to me, I can imagine us never skipping a beat and picking up right where we left off, Even though i bugged the crap out of you as a toddler. I can assure its different  now, we can be friends.

Love your Sister
