Crafting.....

Huston is such a good sport. Crafting is always something i have enjoyed. I havent been able to do it in a while because we are poor. haha.. I used to scrapbook all the time at home, and i dont think Huston realized how much time/$$$/effort/more $$ it took. haha.

After searching FOREVER to find a craft store on this ROCK(Oahu) we came across a store very similar to what would be a MICHAEL's back home. I was in HEAVEN!!

We needed to find this store because i was in search for embelishments for my cousin's wedding sign in book. Since we cant be there, i wanted to make and send them, thier sign in book..(I made my own, and loved it)! plus it was an excuse to scrapbook and craft again. something i enjoy, more like LOVE doing.

the funny part of this story is we walk into the store and Huston says ok we are not spending more than $20 here. I laughed and continued my shopping. haha.. $42 later, we were on our way home with everything i needed. Which honestly isnt bad, i could have spent much much more!

All of the things we baught were not just for my cousin, YA RIGHT! i figured i would do up somethin of my own since i was in the craft mood, and we had everything right before our eyes! I had so much fun.

Above photos are of the pastel easter wreath i made for our door, and page one of the sign in book for my cousin!! (taken on my phone, sorry for crappy quality)

i think i call this hobby a guilty pleasure! I cant wait until someday when we are much older and wiser (RICHER) when i can craft whatever i want, when i want! haha...and for our HOME!! ......someday..... someday.

Its a small world ....

So..as i was improving my blog stalking skills... ;) i recently saw this picture on a couple in our ward's blog.

Two of these boys were my friends up at NAU. Nate(glasses) and Ryan. one was even my hometeacher almost the whole time i was living in Flagstaff. turns out they are visiting the Bridges here in Hawaii and.. They stopped by the other night to say hello and to catch up. We had all been adventure/volleyball buddies. i didnt know them THAT well, but it was nice that they came to say hi, and we all caught up on our lives and discussed our mutual friends lives as well, which was alot of people suprisingly. These guys are genuinely very good people, and i appreciated the time they took to stop in and visit with Huston and I!

I just find it random that they are in Hawaii stayin in the apartment just downstairs from us. can you say SMALL world?

Bragging Rights...

i just wanna say i love my husband. I am not sure exactly what has gotten into him... but every day for the past two weeks or so..... I have come home to a clean kitchen, dishes done, a tidyed up living room, and our bed made. ... Honestly, this never happens. Not that Huston never does it, but this truly never happens in our home. as in i usually never do it either, unless it gets really bad and i freak out cuz i get into cleaning mode. We never make our bed usually, and or.. usually leave dishes in the sink until the last possible one is gone. haha... effective??? NOT!... But, lately.. Huston has been this mighty cleaner and i wont complain. i love coming home to a clean house. This week he has been at the school every night until about 9-10pm or so studying, can you say busy week?? and yet i still come home to a clean house. It makes my heart melt every time, knowing that he is working so hard in school, and at home. Thanks HOney! you are the MAN!!I LOVE HIM SOOOO MUCH! ... It has been so helpful and really eased my load lately with working full time.

A visit from a friend...

Ok.. some of you might read this and say..i know exactly who she is talking about. haha.. but if you do, dont mention i blogged about it. If you dont know who i am talking about... sorry for the vagueness.

Today i was visited by someone that i have been very judgmental of in the past. She has her moments. She asked to come by, and i was nervous, for i didnt know why in the world she would want to come over to my house to talk to ME. but, as soon as she arrived, i wasnt nervous anymore. She came in, was very kind and loving. A side of her i had never seen, or wanted to see(thats what judgment does to ya) She simply just asked how i was doing, and we chatted for about 30 minutes about school, and i could tell she was genuinely interested in my life. She mentioned she came over because she noticed that i havent been visit taught in a long time, and she just wanted to see how i was doing(even though she is not my visiting teacher)...and you know what???...i appreciated that. The longer we talked, the more i felt a connection of a friendship, one i never desired to have nor ever thought would be there. I wont lie, my first thought was to judge this person. After she mentioned she was there for a small visiting teaching moment, i immediatly thought to myself..she just wants credit in heaven for doing this, its not real...but believe it or not i could feel the genuine spirit behind her heart. ...i dont feel like we will be best friends, but i did really enjoy her visit.

My thoughts after she left were.... I AM SUCH A BAD PERSON. I hope i never judge someone like that again, and i am so grateful for this humbling experience. It really meant alot to me that she cared enough for me to come over and say Hello. it was nice to chat. Thank you Heavenly Father for sending me an angel today!!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day! I will blog later about our date!!

Dinner, cookie making/decorating, and conversation heart love letter writing to each other, and chick flick watching!! (the only Holiday i can convince Huston to watch them with me!...Thank you Valentines day!)

My birthday was a pretty big event this year so we decided not to go very big for Valentines day, but our gifts to each other are ..

1. Kilie- White rubber watch with rhinestones she has been wanting FOREVER
2. Huston- German mugs strait from Germany to be ordered soon!

Mostly, the best part about this holiday is a chance to remember why you love each other, and the time you get to spend together. Some people hate this holiday, but it is a chance to let someone/anyone you know, to know that you are thinking of them, and that you love them. .. Doesnt sound so bad to me???

SOOOO FUNNY....

ok.. pretty much died laughing watching this.... umm sorry to anyone this offends..but cmon. you have to admit there is a stereotype....??.... i just thought it was funny. these lyrics crack me up. ..good ol mormons. ..

Really???

I will repent for being judgmental and for being a critic..its unlike me. i try really hard to find a positive in everything... but really??....

C'mon Christina, mess up the national anthem??? how does any american manage to even do that. Not to mention its only the most watched football game in America. .. Wow...

And not to mention... THE SUCKIEST HALF TIME SHOW EVER!! .. Black Eyed Peas are terrible LIVE. Anyone could do what they did. They just screamed thier own lyrics, and proved they had no talent. .. good job. Although i am a fan of thier fun music, i do not wish to support thier crappy talent live on stage.ps. Fergie sounds like an old man that is about to die of lung cancer from smoking for years. .. just had to get that out there.

Dear Super Bowl, next year...Better choice of entertainment! PLEAASEEE!!
