Funny?

ok... So every so often i hear my husband LAUGHING his head off.......i can almost always guess why.

He LOVES these commercials.

I admit, i think one of these is funny(The second one)... but the other two are STUPID to me. Maybe i do not have a sense of humor or something.. but im not kidding. my husband almost pee's his pants laughing EVERY time. Its like it never stops being funny to him. I really do not get it! haha.. At least it is comical to me.

Set Backs

Alright... So, This week ...the diet and exercise thing and me.... did not really get along very well.

(I speak for myself only, because Huston has lost 12 pounds already, ... I KNOW RIGHT?? He looks HOT!)

Here are a few things that may or may not have been set backs this week:

Nothing too major...No big deal.....

-Start your period and then.....

-SULK by eating a WHOLE loaf of Foodland french bread in one sitting (what can i say i love that stuff)

-Friends leaving you with a gallon of 2 percent milk before they leave for vacation (good friends?? more like best friends) It tasted fantastic!

-migrane for 2 days, (even took and ambien) in which i did alot of this:

and NONE of this:

-Cookie dough and Panda Express on date night (We really know how to go all out)

- Taco Bell (It soothes cramps right??)

(Damn) PMS really gets to me. but next week, Jillian and I are going to have a reunion,

along with my other friend the treadmill who i abandoned this week.

Dear Body,

Dont give up on me, I am sorry to put you through all this confusion...but we are back on track and really going to do this whole shed a few pounds thing THISweek and the week after and the week after that until i feel good again. We will also go back to eating much less and much healthier, like the salad in our fridge that is probably going bad because we didnt eat it last week.

 Mahalo!

Compromise

Last night we decided to have a date night "in." We rented 2 movies, made cookie dough, drank 2% milk, and just cuddled. It was awesome, only we started our date too early. Both movies ended before 8pm. Huston left to return the movies, and came back with another one. A "man" movie of course, about some alien invasion...

needless to say...I was a little upset with the movie choice, but he puts up with chick flicks so i guess i can suffer through it right? WRONG! I just did not want to watch the movie.

So we Compromised. I painted his nails blue (his favorite color), about 3-4 coats while he watched the movie!

Is it bad that my husbands nails are longer and prettier than mine? I actually had the desire to paint his nails because there was so much to paint. its always fun when you have alot of nail.

Anywho, lets just hope you are allowed to pass the sacrament with blue fingernail polish.  :)

The Biggest Loser

Well as you all know.. recently Huston and I have vowed to eat healthier and exercise more. It is going really well. We seem to be doing really well with it.. EXCEPT for ONE minor detail... I NEED SUGAR in my diet. haha. I wont lie, eating only salad for dinner or lunch or whatever, is KILLING me. Haha, what can i say? I fantasize about soda, ice cream, brownies, cookies, cake, candy...anything. I have been doing well though. My self control is definitely being tested. I know that i already feel better, eating fresh is such a change but has actually been REALLY good. I can feel a difference already, even though i do miss my junk.

I have hired a new personal trainer. Her name is Jillian Michael's. Most of you know her from The Biggest Loser. She is not nice, but she wants me to succeed. That being said, she is not cheap either, i know most of you asking "how did she score that?" Well my friends, her DVD is only $7.00 at local Wal-Mart locations.  A friend of mine is doing her senior project, and needed volunteers to do the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred for her. She is going to measure us before and after. I thought what a perfect time to help a friend and get into shape!?

Although yesterday however, i did attempt the DVD for the first time. It is 60 minutes long. I thought i was supposed to do all 3 phases of the work out in one sitting, and i was DYING. literally... until later i found out that you are only supposed to do phase 1 for 10days, then phase 2 for 10days, and then phase 3 for 10 days. Ha, oh Jillian, you really had me there! Why couldn't you just tell me that in the flippin video?? haha

(I told you she is NOT nice!)

After Jillian Michael's i think i might attempt Shaun T, and do INSANITY. Wish us luck! This is serious business! Right now, i don't really have a weight loss goal, but only to feel better about myself.

The Voice

I seriously LOVE this show. I cant believe its almost over. It blows American Idol out of the water.

Huston and Kilie's final four picks are : Javier, Beverly, Vicci, and Dia

Tell me they are not TALENTED people???? Gosh DANG i wish i could sing like them!
Javier

Vicci Martinez

Beverly McClellan

Dia Framptom

I mean Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo, Adam (Maroon 5) and Christina?? whats not to LOVE!?

Im even developing a secret celebrity crush on Blake, and Adam. Can you say Talented and HOT!?

(Ya they are HOT!)

1 year 6 months

It hardley feels like its been that long.... I feel like we got married December 19,2009 and I blinked and now we have been married all of a sudden for a year and half!

I can remember when we first moved into our ward, and thinking that the couples that had been married this long were so much older and wiser than us, and i was so impressed with thier examples.

I dont feel older, or wiser. Haha. Maybe we are still in the newly wed phase, however hopefully newlyweds look at us now and think what i used to, "Wow, i want to be just like them, they set a really good example of what we want to be."

Yes, marraige was quite the adjustment to say the least for both of us, but i would not change a thing! It has been a blast.

A few things marraige has taught me thus far.....

-being selfless is important- believe it or not, it is not all about YOU (but sometimes it really is! and thats ok)

-Going to Costco does not count for date night...although this is Huston's favorite thing to do. Not sure why, but Costco trips and grocery shopping is like his favorite thing to do

-There is no such things as a "Women's chore" and a "Man's chore" - HELP EACH OTHER OUT

-Living with someone under the same roof is totally different than dating them

-One week away from each other, is the LIMIT! (for us..haha)

-Your not a failure if you dont get ready every day. Its ok for husband to see you without make-up on

-being the perfect wife is a total "cliche" there is no such thing as perfect

-The two of you were not raised the same-combine traditions and values and make it work

-making dinner at the same time every night is impossible

- marraige is a "Give and Take" process (easier said than done)

- Huston loves his back rubbed more than I do, therefore i should always rub his back

-managing your finances is not always the easiest conversation to have

-you have to be WILLING to say your sorry

-That word WILLING is a big one, there are many other things you have to be WILLING to learn and sacrifice for as well

-attending the temple together is a great blessing

- moving to a "rock" for the beginning of marraige brings you closer together because you only have each other to lean on

-sometimes you want to ring the other person's neck-more like all the time- but we make it work (JOKE)

-Ice cream does NOT make all the problems in the world go away. haha, but its worth the smile

-Ice cream also makes you fat and adds to the other 10lbs you will gain learning to cook for your husband

-Husbands dont LOVE the same meal over and over and over again. (remember last year when i asked for all those recipes? and no one commented?? ) Although i have gotten better and more creative

- DATE night is the most important night of the week and it is OK to just have a night "in" together.

-Homework and all other things can be set aside for later if your spouse needs some attention

-Husbands get too hot at night for some reason, so you dont cuddle all night when you sleep. (I always thought we would)

-PMS is definately called "Pissed at Men Syndrome" when your married

-Birth Control can make you crazy -be careful on that stuff

-Its ok to be homesick when you live on a "Rock"

-and most important lesson- YOU CANT BLAME EVERYTHING ON YOUR HOROMONES!! (dang-it) hate to brake it to ya women, but sometimes we are just crazy.

** I dont want to bore anyone... I really could go on forever, I learn something new everyday...and couldnt be more grateful for the man who is in along side me for the ride. Eternity just doesnt seem long enough!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there. Especially my dad, Kevin Rainey and my Father-in-law Baye Farnsworth. All i know is that I am and always have been a daddy's girl. I could talk to my dad for hours and he would always understand and i always appreciated that about him. He was and is still my friend, and biggest supporter and can always make me laugh, even when i am not in the mood for laughing. For instance in High School when I had an accident and blew out my knew, the doctor was trying to explain the surgury to us, and my dad says to Dr. Heap as serious as can be, "Can you at least put a black persons tendon in as a replacement so she will maybe jump higher?" ... At the time, not so funny..Now.I laugh!

As for my Father-in-law, i really wish i knew him. Sometimes i feel the burn in my heart so deep when i hear my husband say how much he misses the man. I feel like i know so much about him, just through stories and dreams. Huston tries to shadow almost everything he does after his father, and because i have such a great husband, i know i can say my Father-in-law is pretty great too! So happy Father's Day!

Huston and I love you both soooo much!!

And....my husband, Huston, I know someday he will be the best father in the world! He is a kid magnet, and could play for hours. I mean the guy has more little "girlfriends" than anyone i know. I get little girls that tell me all the time thier boyfriend's name is Huston! I always laugh, and we talk it out later. Lol, I dont have the heart to tell the little girls he is taken for eternity. People always say to me, "Is he always like this with kids?"  and i always say "YEP." Its funny because whenever i get asked to babysit for our friends, and only I show up...the kids always ask me, " Kilie, wheres Huston? When is Huston going to come over?" haha. Huston has sooo much love to share, and i cant wait to see him in action as a father and teacher someday and in church he always asks me to take our friends baby so he can play with him during sacrament (not joking) It is the cutest thing. He is more than ready to be a Dad, and i know he will be a great one at that! Someday, parenthood will bless our lives!
