My heart is about to EXPLODE

LONG POST WARNING: my feelings on General Conference

Words cannot describe to you how much i needed General Conference this time. I don't think i have ever felt less prepared to watch it, but have gotten SO much from it. I have a lot i need to work on which is usually what I get from general conference, but this time was different. I received the most direct answers to my prayers, our prayers. More direct than i have ever received one before.

This is the first time I am expressing my feelings about this on the blog. its pretty personal, and I'm pretty adamant about it. I just feel So much gratitude, and like it is time to share because my testimony has grown so much from this trial.

I don't want to bore you all so ill give you a short run down, and that is that we have a strong desire to begin our family. My husband is more than ready to become a father, and I am ready to be a mom. We have prayed and fasted, and felt strongly about starting our family at this point in our lives. We have had this desire for almost a year now and we know and have received answers to our prayers that we should begin our family(maybe thats the frustrating part). Constant prayers and pleading with the lord has required all of our patience. My husband is a rock, and understands fully God's plan, but me.. I have tendency to question it. I get so frustrated when i hear my friends are pregnant, or that a 16 year old who lost her virginity for the first time got pregnant on her first try.
The question i seem to always ask is... dun dun dun.. WHY? Heavenly Father, Huston and I are doing things right, we are in school, we work hard, we pray, we keep the commandments, we have an eternal marriage, why are we not blessed with our righteous desire??
I know that eventually it will happen, but it is just so hard for me to accept that its not NOW (I get this trait from my mother). I know there are women who are infertile and I am the one who is complaining, and i know that 10 months is no time at all in the eternal realm, however it is such a deep desire that it has required ALL of my patience. I am at my last straw.
(I could go on forever)

But then... Robert D. Hales spoke.
Robert D. Hales are you speaking to me personally? I think you are! My insides wanted to fall out and my jaw was dropped. I was not even crying, just in utter disbelief that this man is saying every word I have been waiting to hear. I couldn't put my pen down, or write fast enough. The Lord spoke to me Sunday through Robert D. Hales. And he said...

Wait for me Kilie. Do not give up on me. I will bless you. Thy WILL be done.

Robert D. Hales said that it is our duty to Wait upon the Lord, and that everything that happens in this earthly life is for our own experience. But what exactly does it mean to Wait upon the Lord? It means to have hope, to anticipate, and to TRUST him. We can do this by showing Faith, Diligence, and Patience.
He also said to endureth for one night, and that night may seem long and hard, but Joy WILL come in the morning. Too often, we pray and plead with the Lord for patience, yet we want it NOW. Does that make any sense? If we shall wait upon the Lord, we will renew our stregnth.

I know that he said many more amazing and comforting words in his talk, but those were just some of my favorite. I needed to hear every word, and I felt comforted in knowing that my Heavenly Father WILL bless us. He has not forgotten us, he knows our prayers, he knows our hearts and our desires. That is all i truly needed to know, and Elder Hales could not have put that knowledge into my heart in any better way.

I am learning in my D&C class that in order to have true Faith, we need to start with some sort of knowledge base. That is my knowledge base. I can move forward now, in full Faith...knowing that Heavenly Father has heard my/our prayers. He will bless us. He has not forgotten. We just need not give up.

and As my husband and I were talking last about talks we felt really truly made sense to us, Huston said to me..." Kilie, your Heavenly Father loves you SOOO much.  He knows that you have a hard time with him testing your patience. He KNOWS and because he knows he spoke to an apostle on YOUR behalf, to tell the rest of the world that it is going to be ok." - Pretty powerful statement if I do say so myself.

I believe that.

24

Birthday Boy....Huston Levi Farnsworth turned 24!

We celebrated by eating at Outback Steakhouse and shopping A-LOT the weekend before. This boy got spoiled. He loves to play Raquetball so he ordered a raquet he had his eye on forever, and then we just got him some needed items like shoes and some clothes.

On his actual day, our awesome friends made him a cute sign outside the door, so all the neighbors kept  knocking just to say Happy Birthday! :) He felt pretty special, so thanks Alysha for doing that.

My babe is 24. He thinks he is old. I call it his mid-life crisis, only its happening alot sooner than expected. haha. Actually, both of us are having a hard time accepting and understanding time. It passes by way too quick. It really does feel like just yesterday we were going on our first date.....5 years ago officially this weekend.

Yep.. I was his Birthday date 5 years ago. Little did he know...he was stuck FOREVER.

(Our First Date October 2006)

Anyways.. Happy Birthday Huston. I love you SO much and I am so grateful for your constant love and support. You truly are my other half, and I could not have been as happy as I am today without you in my life. I look forward to eternity with you...It just doesnt seem long enough!

Mission Possible

Yep. I haven't watched any TV since Sunday. Hard to do. Very tempted often.

But... I ...and by I, I mean WE finished all sessions of General Conference. Including Priesthood (Huston) and Relief Society(me) sessions.

My heart is about to explode.

Why?

1. because I feel excited I was able to accomplish this goal and overcome temptations of Satan who makes General Conference seem unimportant. Truly Truly he does. You would not even know how hard it really was just to not watch television. ....I think next G. Conference I should ban Facebook until i have seen every session too. We shall see.. Thats stretching it a little. (note the sarcasm please)

2. because I received more personal revelation than I can even handle. more than ever before.

3. Because tonight in sewing class we learned to sew ruffles and they were so stinking cute.

Anyways... I have a date with Glee, If i do say so myself,

and I vow to watch less TV and spend less time on my computer...eventually. What i am getting at is that ...I will be the "Master of my TIME" ... Ya... the thing about that.. is... it will take time to figure out a balance. I slightly have an addiction to blogging, Facebook, and Pinterest. Ha.

But not overly addicting. I Just want to make a goal to do it LESS. because i could do so much more with my time.. like serve my fellow beings, or I don't know.. something like.. HOMEWORK...or the dishes maybe?

Disney Resort-Aulani (Hawaii)

Recently Disney vacation club opened a Resort out here in Hawaii. Mickey and Minnie and some of the "characters" actually come visit.

We have been wanting to go check it out, because this annoying commercial plays all the time and gets the song stuck in our heads...

Last night.. We finally did. Its AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL and I could live there forever. Luckily its only $474 a night for when we want to stay. Local Resident rates are only %25 percent off. Thats a little much for our liking. But I think we added it to our bucket list anyways just so we can say we did it once! :) ... We are going to start saving I think for our anniversary and stay there for 1 night. ... MAYBE.

Anywho.. if anyone makes it over to Hawaii, and can afford to stay here\

You should!! Its incredible.

General Conference

Unfortuantely... my weekend consists of Work, work, and more work.

Which means I will not get to watch conference while it is on. Huston and I have made a goal to watch it TOGETHER so we can hold each other accountable(mainly me) because it is hard for me to watch it on my own, so therefore my sweet husband is going to wait for me to be able to watch it with him.

The challenge is...When? Sunday we will probably watch a session after I get off work, but because of the power of Satan and a busy school schedule I feel strongly like after Sunday we will have no desire to study the words of our prophets.

Hence.....We have made it a goal to not watch any TV of our choice (right now its Lost, and Modern Family, along with The Office) Until we finish watching ALL of the sessions.

The words of our prophets are IMPORTANT! I hope that Huston and I can commit and accomplish this goal together, and then continuely study the words from the Ensign for the next 6 months.

Why this matters to YOU? ... Blog World... I need you to help hold us ACCOUNTABLE!!!!!!!

I am so excited to get to listen to what these apostles have to say to us! I wish that I was able to be there LIVE. It is such a neat feeling to gather together as saints and listen to our prophets.

Welcome October

-Have a Chili-cook off

and

SALE (my favorite word)

I have been needing some new shorts. the ones i have, i have been taking turns wearing them for about the whole year since in hawaii wearing pants or anything else is almost unheard of. I also needed some new shorts for work because I scored some new uniform shirts as well. Since the winter/fall line of clothes just came out pretty much everywhere.. Yes believe it or not, even in HAWAII they have "Fall" clothes, i decided to go on a witch hunt for shorts.

needless to say.. i was able to find 5 pairs of shorts and a super cute shirt all for $43. Not bad. Including a little gift card (gift card being key word here) splerge at Bath and Body works for holiday candles since my pumkin one burnt all the way down and the wick would no longer stay lit. This is a serious time of year people!!! We must embrace it!

Here is the rundown
Aeropastale- 2 denim pairs $5 each (my favorite deal)
Macy's- 1 brown and 1 khacki pair of shorts $11 each (60% off original price) -good bargain
Old Navy- 1 cute pair of grey capri's($50 percent off sale price) and a really cute shirt-Total $11.

The great thing about this is that shorts are all LONG enough and I even budgeted $50 for myself and did not spend over that. Which NEVER happens, which is also why i think it is blogworthy because i am pretty proud of myself. Oh and because, I honestly never go shopping, therefore it was pretty fun to get to be able to do so.

Also husband was even proud and said I didnt spend too much. That made my day because if you know my husband.. he is a penny pencher. But its great because we balance each other out!

The best part about my shopping day was spending it with a good friend of mine and also suprising Huston with this...

for his birthday. He wore it on his mission in Germany has not been able to find it since. He LOVESSSS it and was so excited that its finally in stores in the US! Ya..Im a pretty cool wife, I know!
