OK... YEP.. first step to help is admitting the problem right?.. well i am an avid nail biter (chronic onychophagia). i need help...haha...i grew them out for our wedding and turned right back to biting again. what do i do? does anyone have any ideas??.. nothing works for me. ... help me make my nails beautiful. :) .. i even tried fake nails..but i still bite those off. I am sick of having sore fingers... dont get me wrong i dont have stubbs for nails.. but because i bite, i always get ingrown nails, or hang nails, and have bleeding sore fingers.. so yes... help me overcome my disorder.

OK... my friend always gets acrylics b/c she bites her nails. expensive- but depends on how desperate you are
ReplyDeleteIdk what to tell ya! haha i chronically pick at my finger nails...instead of biting. & i just got fake nails... :) its the only way for me!!! not that i can keep them up or anything ($$$) but at least i stop for a bit!

I am totally with you on that one- its awful!The latest thing that has worked for me is Cooper telling me that every week I dont bite my nails he will buy me icecream- gives me motivation:-)
ReplyDeletehaha. of course food would work for shay! :) there is some stuff you can get that you can put on your nails and it is a nasty tasting finger nail polish type stuff. so every time you put your nails to your mouth you taste this disgusting stuff and helps people stop. or you can do what i did and every time you start to bite, just don't bite. hide your hands. (yes i was in like 3rd grade when i did this. it was the best solution i could think of at the time! haha) it's all a matter of will power! :)
ReplyDeletemy husband used to bite his nails and it bugged me soooooo bad. so every time he did it i would tell him to STOP. so tell houston to just get on you about it lol
ReplyDeleteYa- best thing is your Husband.... If your husband is telling you to stop, ALL THE TIME!!! And also, get that stuff that tastes nasty, I hear it works... I dont bite or pick so im not sure where to get it but maybe the beauty store?!? Good luck chickity!
