Merry Christmas to the Farnsworth's

We are new to the whole Christmas thing for each other still.

Some couples change passwords to bank accounts, open new ones, just to surprise the spouse, and others exchange big extravagent gifts, or find a huge element of surprise awaiting them but... Truth is...We don't.

Not yet at least. Last year we were too poor and decided gifts for the family would be more fun, plus we overspent on our anniversary because it was our 1st.

anyways, what I'm trying to get at.. is that we haven't really had the chance to have our own "Christmas" yet. We have been asked a few times how we "do" Christmas for each other.

this is how...

Last year it was a mutual decision with the money we had left-over from our trip home, to buy a beautiful 42" tv to go with the Xbox Huston's mom got us for Christmas.

This year... We decided on something a little different.

We both wanted this really badly, but when it came down to it we just couldn't justify spending $80+ on tickets to the game. BYU vs UH football game that is.

We decided last minute we would head to the game and find some scalpers, being hopeful to find cheaper seats. Indeed we did. We found 2 tickets for the price of one, and fully and thankfully enjoyed a really fun football game, after which we treated ourselves to PF Chang's and called it our "Christmas" to each other.

The football game was really fun. I sported a BYU shirt which was a very BAD idea because our seats were definitely not anywhere near BYU fans. We sat in a very local kine spot and accidentally got caught cheering for BYU a few times. All in all we really enjoyed each other! Huston said to me "why don't we do this more? " I agreed! We should do it more! Cant go wrong with sporting events!

(this was when we moved the 50 yrd line, BOMB seats)

Huston also got some nice Reef sandals. We shopped around a little for me too, but i couldn't decide on what I wanted. I probably will end up getting this pair of Sanuk shoes I liked, i just couldn't decide on which ones to get. There were too many cute ones.

So, this year.. for now... a nice dinner, BYU football game, and one present to each other that we got to pick out ourselves will be a perfect and sufficient Christmas to us. Key word being "US" because we already received the biggest Christmas present of all this year from our families helping us get home.

Santa truly is the best and he always pulls through for us.
