Long Weekend.

I loved everything about this weekend. It was long.. and NEEDED.

Friday night we went to the John Schmidt Concert.

Saturday we ate lunch at Ted's Bakery, went to Waimea Bay, explored North Shore like tourists, and then headed up to Mililani. We are so cheap, we ate dinner at Costco (you can never go wrong there) and then we decided to hit up a movie. After the movie we went to Wal-Mart at like 11pm and just bummed around. It was fun to be there for fun and not for groceries. Huston let me buy some crafting stuff for Sunday and I was one happy girly.

Sunday we had early church, took a nap, and then had tortilla soup and watched "Despicable Me"
I also made this creation with all my Wal Mart goodies

and Today:
We braved a 6 hour hike that took us 8 hours thanks to the rain. It was a long 3 mile hike in a slippery riverbed of a beautiful canyon. We hiked to a waterfall, it was beautiful! We smam in freezing water, rock climbed the top of the waterfall and then went to another fall. The whole hike is called "7 falls" but with all the rain we only made it to two falls. ... After a long excruciating hike, we treated ourselves to frozen yogurt, and stuffed our faces with french bread pizza and then made cookie dough while watching the Bachelor. Seriously, a way fun day. We haven't adventured that much since our first year here in 2010!

Pictures just don't do the hike justice. And I don't have waterfall pictures yet. they are on a friends waterproof camera.

 cool graffiti walls
after 8 hours of hiking my shoes said we are done!!!

Good thing we made it out alive. it did rain a lot.

 we saw 3 wild bores
never been so excited to see civilization again

It must have been good frozen yogurt.

best invention ever, french bread pizza
They didn't make it through the bachelor. Haha .. too tired.

Hawaii is such and amazing place to live. I can't believe some of the beautiful things we have been able to experience here. The scenery is breathtaking. Im so grateful we have been able to live out here for 3 years and just enjoy life together with no kids.( thats what i keep telling myself) .. But really.. Lately I am truly realizing what a blessing time is with my husband, and how much our lives will change when we are able to be parents (good change) but i think everyone knows what i mean.
